Legacy gifts can guarantee your lasting impact on NH children and families for generations to come.

Give through:

Bequests
Charitable Gift Annuities & Trusts
Named Funds

Child and Family Services plays a vital role in creating solutions for traumatized children, and families under stress.  Those who have come through our doors for seven generations have faced challenges and overcome hurdles of all kinds.  The issues they face may have changed over time, but the need for quality professional services will always be there to help them make positive changes.

Bequests and other legacy gifts ensure the protection of children from abuse and neglect beyond your own lifetime.  The Children’s Aid & Protective Society honors friends who support the future of Child and Family Services by creating a legacy through a bequest provision, charitable gift annuity, gift of life insurance or retirement assets and other planned gifts.

When making a legacy gift in your lifetime, you can provide income for you and your family, depending on the type of gift you make and your financial goals.

Bequests

Bequests can be unrestricted, or we would be happy to talk to you about specific programs that your bequest can have meaningful impact on, such as Children’s Counseling, Camp Spaulding, or Adoption.

Charitable Gift Annuities and Trusts

Give now and receive income for life!

A charitable gift annuity is a simple contract between you and Child and Family Services that offers a tax-advantaged way to provide for income during retirement for you or a loved one.  In return for your gift of cash or marketable assets, we make fixed payments to you for life (and another person if you choose).  The rate is based on your age when you create the annuity.  After your lifetime, the remainder is used to support the at-risk children, youth and families we serve.

Benefits of CGAs:

Fixed payments. Your payment amount is fixed when you fund the CGA and does not fluctuate with inflation or the stock markets- providing you with a predictable income stream.

Tax benefits.  A portion of the payments you receive is exempt from income tax for your life expectancy.  You may also be eligible for a charitable income tax deduction, depending on your financial circumstances.

Personal satisfaction.  You can feel proud to be a partner with Child and Family Services.  Big or small, your gift makes a difference.

Named Funds

A named fund is a legacy for you or a loved one and an unending gift to New Hampshire’s at risk children and families.  You can create an individual named fund at Child and Family Services with an outright gift or bequest of $25,000 or more.  You and your loved ones can continue to contribute to your fund.

We are happy to talk with you more about how any of these tools will support the mission of protecting NH children from abuse, preserving families and strengthening communities.  Please feel free to request more information about legacy giving at  This email address is being protected from spambots.
