Champions, Heroes & Legends

A NIGHT OF IMPACT: On Tuesday, October 21, 2014, 230 people turned out for the first ever CFS CELEBRATION EVENT at Manchester Country Club. The event was designed to bring together a diverse constituency to celebrate our shared human experience, renew our commitment to the cause and reinvigorate ourselves for another year of changing lives.

The event was emceed by legendary folk singer-songwriter and long-time member of the CFS family, Tom Rush, who also provided the entertainment. Featured speaker was Justin Spencer, founder of Recycled Percussion and his own charitable campaign, who spent many summers of his childhood at Camp Spaulding. The CFS advocacy wing, the NH Children’s Lobby awarded The Jack Lightfoot Voice for Children award to Hon. Thomas Bamberger. The event also provided an opportunity for people to meet our new CEO, Borja Alvarez de Toledo, who invited the audience to partake in developing a vision for improving the social landscape for children and families in New Hampshire. It was A GREAT NIGHT FOR THE CAUSE!
