CHAMPIONS, HEROES & LEGENDS

A NIGHT OF IMPACT:  On Wednesday, October 21, 2015, 210 people turned out for the second annual CFS CELEBRATION EVENT at Manchester Country Club. The event was designed to bring together a diverse constituency to celebrate our shared human experience, renew our commitment to the cause and reinvigorate ourselves for another year of changing lives.

The event was emceed by legendary folk singer-songwriter and long-time member of the CFS family, Tom Rush, who also provided the entertainment. The CFS advocacy wing, the NH Children’s Lobby, bestowed The Jack Lightfoot Voice for Children award to Anna Thomas, deputy public health director for the City of Manchester.   CFS also paid tribute to Ruth Zax, long-time development director, who retires from the agency this year after 40 years of dedicated service. In honor of this, the agency announced the Ruth Zax Endowed Campership Fund, which will enable children from low income families to attend Camp  Spaulding for years to come.  The event also featured a new video, which told the stories of a number of clients, and shared insights, experiences, and wisdom from CFS staff and board members.  Mark Stebbins of ProCon, Inc., announced his support of our new youth resource center and services to homeless youth.  President/CEO, Borja Alvarez de Toledo, expressed his appreciation for the support of everyone in the audience, and invited them to join the agency’s efforts to advance the well-being of children, youth, and families, and to improve the social landscape of New Hampshire.

A GREAT NIGHT FOR THE CAUSE!
