Services provided
Student Assistance Program: High School
The Goal of the Student Assistance Program is to promote student success through reduction of the negative impacts of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use among students as well as to support students who have a loved one who is an alcoholic/addict. Student Assistance is a free, confidential service available to all students in the schools receiving services.
The primary function of the program is drug and alcohol prevention and intervention. Child and Family Services’ Student Assistance Program assists students, however, in dealing with whatever issues may be interfering with their ability to be productive and successful at school. We understand the connection between school, family, relationships, and other issues students may be dealing with and the onset of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use, abuse, and dependence. Student Assistance works with students in a variety of ways: individually, in small groups, in the classroom, and with families.

Home-School Therapeutic Services
The Family Counselor works in a school environment, working with children, parents and teachers in both the school and home to encourage academic and social success of students. Through communication with key school personnel, children at risk are identified, and a plan of how best to contact the family is determined. Parents are also encouraged to contact the Home-School worker to seek information, support, and treatment.
