HOUSING SUPPORT
Providing housing assistance, rapid re-housing and rent support to young adults working toward independence
Behind on rent?
Behind on bills?
Struggling to survive?
Know that you have the ability to be self-sufficient but are one step away from becoming homeless?
The Housing Support program of Child and Family Services provides housing and independent living assistance to young adults, 18 - 21, in the Manchester, Concord and Seacoast areas.
Housing Support can help you in these ways:
- Work with your current landlord to help you maintain your existing home
- Provide the security deposit for a new apartment
- Pay up to three months rent
- Cover overdue utility bills
- Subsidize a portion of your rent for up to 18 months
- Assist you with getting a job
- Help you build independent living skills
Child and Family Services’ Housing Support program understands that in this economic recession, it is especially difficult for many young people in the area to find housing, a job, healthcare, a livable wage and the means to address your basic needs. Without such things, you are hindered from becoming a productive, independent adult, continuing your education and pursuing your life goals. Housing Support endeavors not only to prevent homelessness, but to empower young people like you with the tools you’ll need to succeed.
The Housing Support program is free and voluntary. All applicants are treated with respect, integrity and confidentiality.
